6 bolt head on 7 bolt block, what head gasket do i get?

i just bought a 97 awd ( hooray for me) it has a 6 bolt head on the car pushing 550 whp. what head gasket do i get. a 6 or 7 bolt gasket????????????????

According to CAPS, it's the same part number (MD183808) because the earlier part number was superceded by the new gasket. That is the part number for the stock gasket; someone might chime in with the numbers for the other options that you have, but the gist of it is that whatever you decide to buy for a 4G63T should work.

i put a 6 bolt head on a 7 bolt block it just order the gasket from advanced, so i dont think theres any differance. But i also own a gs n/t not a gsx so im not realy sure. and yes i know this dosent realy answer your question but i hope it helps some. They didnt ask any questions at the parts store about 6 or 7 bolt engines so i assume there the same. The car i put the head on runs strong so im assuming its the gaskets r the same. Good luck
