Hey guys I'm trying to figure out what to get with my tax return.

Either a 1G head with HKS 272s w/3G lifters (not sure what else I'd need)

Or get a 2nd stock tranny, as a backup.

Haha, yea mine is loosing the syncros between 1st & 2nd are going... the one I'm looking at is 470 shipped and I know I can take mine to Jack for when its done so I can get some reimbursement.

Well as far as I can tell my tranny has 97000 miles on it, and was beat pretty hard when the previous owner AutoX'd it.

I was contimplating it, but I didn't know if I should pend the extra money now and just get the better flowing head. Basically it comes down to I have a new ACT2600 clutch with a grinding Tranny and a set of HKS 272's to replace my stock cames. I just didn't know which one would be more worth while.

Head, Cams, seals, high rev valve springs, titanium retainers, 3g lifters, check the head surface for low spots, vacuum test, valve job

I would say get the tranny rebuilt, seeing how you know the one you got now is bad. besides the head is alot easier to swap out when you get cams and springs etc then swapping out a transmission.

Thanks guys, when I get my money I'll drop by Jack's and get my tranny. Plus I have a Flywheel going on.

And thanks for the head information, I'll definitely use it a little later when I can do a head job.
