k so i just bought a '95 gsx. my first turbo car. one of my buddies asked me what kind turbo it has. i have not looked yet becuase i put it into storage for winter as soon as i got it. he said it has a 14b which is apparentyl a decent turbo for stock but everywhere i have read it say's a t-25! anybody know which one it's supposed to have?

shoot. alright thankyou

oh but it has the '94 engine. is it still going to have the t-25 ### of the new body style?

simple just take a look at the turbo... if it has a j pipe bolted on to it it is a 14b if it dosent have any thing bolted on to it and it just connects to the lower icp then its a t-25...try to take some picks you mite get lucky and have a 16g... take off the intake and take pictures of the fins and post them so that we can tell you more accurately what it is.

k this is the best shot i could get. i could not find my good camera so i made do with what i had. i'l ake some bettr pics f needed once ifinmy oher camera

I'm probably wrong, but i thought big/small fin like in the pic's was 16g? or at least thats how the differences besides numbers were explained to me? i thought 14b's had same sized fin's no smaller?

yup that's a big 16g or a evo 16..my big 16 looks like that big fin little fin..14b's have the same size fins throughout and t25's have a little hamster in the middle runnin on a wheel

It's all guessing until he gets a pic of the housing, but my bets are on a t25 or 13g. The nut holding the compressor wheel is very large compared to the inducer.

I have a small 16g and the fin's look similar. i think all 16g's have the big/small fin, we would need the numbers off the housing to tell what type it would be. but im still not sure if it is a 16g i just thought that was how you could tell the difference between the turbo's

Agreed, i was also thinking the same. But it could also be how the picture was taken, it looks like he was very close to the inlet when he took the picture that might have something to do with it. maby if it were more of a distance it would put it into perspective.

Just get the casting numbers off the housing and we could probably tell you exactly what it is!

Most likly it is a t-25 the t-25,16g have similer blades. Heres a pic.
