Whats going on?

Just started happening today. Rpm's go high and thers a ton of boost but the car isnt going anywhere. This just happened after i had pepboys install some kyb shocks. Now it feels like when i give gas it takes a while to catch. In 2nd gear when i floor it it doesnt pull hard and the it feels like im movin slow....@ 3000 rpm's!

Could this be the clutch?

Help!

Go about 25 and floor it in third gear. If the rpm's go up but the car doesn't really move then your clutch is slipping.

does the engine rev up fine? if not it could be stuck throttle linkage. next check to see if you throttle body is opening correctly and make sure there are no obstructions in the ic pipes or throttle body. any more info you could give would help greatly to diagnos the problem

Does it smell funny after you do this "WOT"? You either have a slipping clutch(funny smell) or possibly tons of knock.

ok so i started my and drove off this morning expecting to get the same symptoms but to my amazment it works fine know!

i only drove a short distance (7mi) and its fine but im thinkin once the trans gets nice and warmed up its gonna do it again.....right?

if its the clutch i can just buy a new one right?
or do i have to replace the whole trans?(trans shifts nice and smooth)

If it is the clutch you can just buy a new clutch package. It will come with the clutch disc, pressure plate, and release bearing. I would also change the clutch slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder.
