my injector plugs break off so i replaced them and still nothing

Ok ive got a big problem the cyclinder all the way on the passanger isnt running. i had my injector plugs break off so i replaced them and still nothing ive taken the plug on its bone dry the plug is brand new. ive barrowed the following ingition coil cam angle sensor injector resitor pack and still nothing i tossed in some new 550s because i thought maybe the stock injector went bad and ive swaped the injectors for diffrent cyclinder i know works and still nothing. i had the car down for few days to do any oil change and all do all the wiring inside the car for wideband. i wired it so the gauge it turns on but the bung is not in the down pipe so the sensor for the wideband is not plug in yet. when i finshed all that and started the car that one cyclinder was not working. i also opened the ecu to make sure theres no damage and there is none its an eprom with a stock chip at the moment. im totally stumped if someone can give me some insight on what the hell could be my issue id totally sned them some money for a few beers so please help!
 
Are you ready to do some work? First of all you need to ohm the wires and make sure they are ok. Cylinder #4 injector wires are black w/ red-- goes to resistor pack terminal 3 which should be the wire all the way to the left on the resistor. The second wire should be light green w/ white which goes to terminal 61 on the ecm plug. If the wires ohm out ok you could have a bad ecm because each injector is controlled from a different pin on the ecm. Ohm the wires first and see if your connections are ok. Then you may need to find another ecm to try.Hope this helps some.
 
i highly doubt its my ecu but i get what your saying im wondering if maybe since my injector wires were so hard and what not if the wire broke somewhere in the harness where i can not see if there away to jump them just to find out ? what should the ohm out to be anyway?
 
o yeah my other question would it be ok to drive the car about 8 miles one way to a friends house who said he would try and fix it for me i dont want to destory the motor
 
No one could give you a guarantee on the damage done to an engine running while missing a cylinder. It all depends on how much boost, what kind of terrain, temperatures, etc...

You could always get someone to chain-tow it.

Have you checked the flow on your other cylinders? You could have such poor fuel pressure that the fourth just isn't getting anything. Check you fuel pressure and change the fuel filter if needed.

My money's with the injector wires, though. You should test those first to ensure you're getting some sort of signal to open those puppies up.
 
i wont let it boost and its up hill alittle not a whole lot and its cool out during the day about 40-50. its not the fuel pressure ive got a fpr and checked it thats fine
 
fixed it. was the wire from the ecu to the injector how odd...then i started drving her around alittle to tune her out with the bigger injectors and noticed white smoke a small hole in the radator.........man i cant win all the sudden LOL
