my 2.4 stroker 6 bolt 4g64 is almost finished, looking for the best turbo to run on a 2.4 stroker,.20 over, magnus pistons and long rods.have a lot of supporting mods. looking more into a larger turbo than a 20g.let me know what you think.

What kind of spool do you want? If you don't care about spool then the sky's the limit. If you want something that will spool around 4000-4500, then look at a GT35R or something similar (BWS258/362, SC61, etc.)

We've been running a 35r on our 2.4stroker and its been real good, very nice power and havent had an issue yet, but we only have the car set at 15psi right now we havent gotten into the real power yet LOL:thumb: good luck with your setup

like they all said it depends on how much power/money you want to make/spend. not to mention how early in the powerband you want the thing to be screamin. one of the guys on the gvr4 forums bolted an evoIII to a 2.4 and said it was and insanely fun street car. very quick spool and you didn't have to rev it out to spool some big ol turbo, but that was all for s*%#'s and giggles. if i were you id just bolt on a 35r with a decent mani and call it a day.

I second that question (if you can do that)......

The 2.4L engine is known for creating an insanely fun street car. The increased torque makes a big difference in how the car feels compared to a 2.0L.

You really ought to poke around the 4G64 forums and websites for ideas.

If someone makes a recommendation based only on how a particular turbo behaves in a 2.0L, your results may vary.

Generally, the larger turbos will spool earlier, so you can go bigger than you might think.

The EVOIII 16G seems to be a darn nice choice with 2.4L blowing on it.

I think that the 6152e is a good turbo. I have been using it for a while on my 2.0 and I'm sure with your 2.4 you should be able to get full boost below 4. It is also a lot cheaper than most GT series, but has the GT35R compressor wheel. You can also get the larger cover and maybe quicken spool up a little more. Also I should mention just in case, it is a non-bb.

its weird you guys are all saying the 35r. i have been looking at a full t3 35r for like 2 weeks. a friend of mine is selling a 35r for 1300. it is the setup punishment racing sells. he bought for almost 3000 and put it on a stock motor. went and had it dyno tuned and dynoed at 300 whp. he dynoed better #s with a 16g. i know the stroker has more power then a stocker.

Even on a stock engine the 35r should make decent power, it was probably a tuning issue.

I would break it in with a 14b for a few oil changes (of course after you do the inital break in to seat the rings) and get the baseline tune down because your going to find that you have to do some basic tuning to make ANY power out of your 2.4. Then once you have a feel for what your tuning for slap on your nice big 30/35r or whatever you decide to go with.

yeah i was thinking that. i was going to use my 16 or 20g. yeah i am having all the work done by dogbox in nj. tuning etc. i think i am going 35r. i want 500 whp out of this bi***.
