I did the balance shaft elimination but left the front shaft in and just removed the belt..

Will this affect the oil pressure at all. The rear shaft is cut has been tapped and has a

screw with loctite to seal off the oil port.. Seems to work really well..but oil pressure is

low at start up...

This isn't a very good idea.

The balance shaft still has the ability to rotate on it's own, although it will normally fall with the weighted position to the bottom. Here's the problem- there's a certain point when the shaft is aligned with the oil holes that oil will just blow straight through it. On my buddy's 2G, he was running with a broken balance belt and didn't know it (luckily it never traveled into the timing belt). Under a really good launch and pull, the car lost enough oil pressure to put the oil light on repeatedly.

I did my most recent BSE the same way. I didn't want to mess with putting in new bearings for the front one, and it was single digit temps, so i used the mirage stub shaft on the oil pump and left the front shaft in. I've gained some oil pressure, but these cars always have low readings on the stock gauge at idle, sometimes mine looks like there's no oil pressure, but from a manual guage i know it's there.

So, Is it okay to put a balance shaft elimnator kit on, it wont hurt nothing?

The BSE won't hurt anything. Read my threads. They've got tons of info. I found out about BSE because my Balance Shaft was spinning against the block, as the mechanic stated. It was a $1500 repair. Thanks to Road Race Engineering. I stumbled upon they're BSE kit. It shows the pros and cons. Like another member told me, most EVO and DSMers have theirs eliminated. I'm just steppin' in here because I have done alot of research on it. But, yeah, look at my threads. They may help you. I'm taking my engine out to do it. While it's out I plan on some fab work and maybe new cams. And my most wanted item besides DSMlink: ForcedPerformance Race manifold.:talon:
