Today I installed the FMIC so I had the BOV off. I have a Greddy one and I just got the car so I haven't driven it yet. The screw on top of the BOV screws down into it. So I go to tighten the screw on top and the whole screw flew out. So I'm like wtf, so I go to screw it back in and it feels like the screw is small than the hole so none of the threads are gripping. Is it time for a new BOV or what's the deal?

see if you pulled the threads out.if so get the next size bolt and screw it in there-if you want to be real savvy run a tap throuh it first(right way)

And if you really wanna do it right, it needs to be put on a mill or drill press, indicated in, and then you need to drill out the old/mangled threads with the proper size drill for the new tap.

he's right...if your looking for perfection...its easy to do either way...if you dont have a press dont get sad...you can do without, it just might not be a straight in as you would like to see:dsm:

OK guys I got it all taken care of, I drilled a new hole, stuck a new bolt in and she's all ready to go. Thanks for all the help!
