well i swapped in a used 14b that my friend had from his eclipse and it was a complete success.. there is no more burning oil smelling smoke coming out the exhaust anymore.. to say the least, im pretty damn happy.. ROFL

thanks you guys for your help in diagnosing the problem!!:)
 
oh sorry..

but one word of advice for anyone using the thread on here that tells you how to remove a turbo: you HAVE to take off the manifold cause you cant get the turbo past the coolant line that is in front of the turbo..

Um.......you can remove a turbo without removing the manifold. That coolant line just has to be bent a little bit.
