I'm new to this whole tuning/logging thing but I just got my car running right again so I wanted to post up my logs and have you guys give me any input you can, thanks. Only went up to 6k on this run for safety reasons.

RPM Timing
3039 29
3718 2 <--- Wideband hits the RICH side at this point.
4148 2
4582 3
4824 3
5289 5
5531 10
5964 7
5777 29 <--- Let off here

Also, i tried to watch my wideband and was very rich dropping below 10.5:1 after about 4k rpm at WOT. Obviously it needs a tune, just where do I start? I read a guide on here but it mentioned my LTFTs and STFTs. Can I just tune straight from what my gauge is showing me?

Theres defianlty something wrong with your tune. More then a little knock id say. Like said above turn down your boost. Whats it at right now? I dont know your mods either.

Normally the timing starts at about 7 and works its way up. Somethings way wrong. Did you do your pull in 3rd from 3k til redline at wot?

First step: Turb down boost and do another log.

Second step: If all looks good, start at the lower rpm's and lean it out, then do another log, and work your way up the rpm's/

Step three: Repeat.... As you turn the boost up to a safe level.

You can tune by just using a wideband, although most people say it's better to tune with just a logger rather then just a wideband, and even better to use both.

I just looked at your mods, and really you shouldn't have to do much if any tuning with the stock turbo and fuel. I would check for boost leaks. Id bet thats why your running rich. As far as the timing dropping down like that after 5500, im clueless.

Ah sorry, this profile is my old car.
I have a 98 gst spyder running the folowing mods:
evo 3 16g
xspower fmic
650 injectors
255 pump
afpr
safc2
mbc @ 18 psi

I see. 18psi is not is a good number to start at. I would go ahead and lean it out at the lower rpm's. Then do another log so we can see what it looks like?

What did the wideband say after 5500rpm?

Just logged another pull up to 5.5k at 15psi.

RPM Timing
2218 23
2589 12
2894 8
3296 9
3718 10
4164 7
4636 9
5152 10
5546 10
4222 33

And as for the leaning it out, thats what i was originally asking for help for. I have never actually tuned on this safc2 so dont know the steps to lean it out.

Ok well i decided to just go ahead and figure it out on my own. My question is: what a/f ratio should i be tuning for during the high rpms (4000-7000) at wot? Before it was at 10.5 and I've so far tuned it to around 12.5. Does it need to be even leaner than this?

General rule of thumb to tune at WOT is 11:1, you are running WAY lean, hence the knocking timing dips. It seems you've got the 'knob tuning' down, so just tune away at 11:1, there's not too much you can do with an SAFC2, so I'd say tune to 11:1 and post up a log; then we can discuss if you should turn up boost or not :) Oh, with the lag of a logger, take the car out and start out in 3rd at the lowest RPM possible and then just WOT until about 7k. Logs up to 5500 aren't really that helpful. Remember, at a low rpm you want timing to increase in a linear fashion, like

3k - 6*
4k - 7*
5k - 9*
6k - 11*
7k - 14*

You get the point. Any dips in timing in the rpm progression usually indicate knock, so richen it up and see how she reacts in another log.

Definitely log 3rd gear pulls. I'd also log airflow as well as timing and rpm. You can't just tune based on AFR, and inferring knock from a timing curve is tough and sometimes desceptive. But you can reference the timing map and see where your logged timing advance falls on the map. If it's close, you're not knocking. If it's way low, you're knocking.
