:dsm::talon::laser:well i just dropped in a 6bolt cyclone in my 97 tsi and got my dsmlink working again
its a bone stock motor with scm61 turbo 960cc injectors all the other goodies and and idle ive've adjusted the cas and the tps and turned the the dsm link idle rpm down to 900 and it wont come down pass 2500 rpm

does anyone have any ideas please let me know pals

well i dont know what the biss is, one ijector is mising an 0-ring, the only code it throws
is fr terminal circiut malfunction withch is the alternator im gonna double chick all my intercooler pipes

the boost vaccum line goes on the p port right? then just block off the other one?

Any vaccuum/boost leaks that would let air in at idle (between the TB elbow and head)?
Did you adjust the BISS?
Does it throw an ISC code (P0505 I think)?

I don't know dick about the TB vaccuum lines.

Now you mean the injector o-ring (between the injector and fuel rail) and not the insulator (between the injector and the head)? If you're missing an insulator, that'd let air in at idle (straight into the intake port of that runner, thus leaning out that cylinder and increasing idle). If it's the o-ring, I assume the injectors are double-o-ring? If not, I figure you'd be puking fuel out of the rail. If it is the o-ring, I'd get a replacement. If you leak fuel under the car, you can burn the car to the ground, get hurt, die, whatever.

The BISS is the base idle set screw. It's a big, recessed screw on the TB for adjusting idle. The link below is the TB section page from the virtual tour site. The BISS is circled in purple. Bookmark the virtual tour!!:thumb:

its the 0ring from the injector to head, now befor when i couldnt get the car to turn over whn i like go of the key i heard a pist and a fine mist of somthing around thing intake manifold the 0rings are just stock just bored out and i meant befor the biss not the tps, i messed with the biss for a while, im gonna turn the tps so the clip is facing the passenger side cause right now it faces the driver side and its a B*tch to clip it

dude looking at that picture, my ports on my TB face the passenger side not the drives, now is there anyway possible i couold have put the on backwords

the biggest problem with this swap is i had a galant 2.4 block in it before when i bought the car and im haveing that rebuilt as we speak so alot of things arent falling exacly in place, the guy i got the car from mashed to harnesses together so tere are 3 empty clips with the orange on the inside that i see no place to go

yep thats it, now do i adjust the tps like the was you do the cas?

and ps man your helping alot and i thank you

I've never tinkered (or needed to tinker) with the TPS. Mine works great. I've never read all that much about adjusting it either. But if I did know something about it, it would be because I found it on the forum. Search is your friend.;)

And you need to put that injector insulator in or nothing will work right. That's a HUGE boost leak, and you may even have a fire danger. While you fix that, change them all out. They turn into a hard plastic-like material over time which will leak boost. They're pretty cheap. A link for the seals from one vendor is below ($12):

Slowboy Racing, Inc. :: DSM :: Fuel :: Lower Injector Seals

You can't do much until you fix that.

yea well everytime litterally i search it allways comes up with nothing for some reason

but thanks again for the help i appriciate the help i think the old insulator must be inn my old head still so im gonna check back with this thread tomorrow

ok i made a new oring for my injector and theres still a very louds hiss coming from that area, its running so lean the header started to glow, now the is small leak by the 0-ring but would the cause the loud hiss like and air compressor hose noise, and the TB and elbo also have tiny leaks, i turned the biss all the way to the right as far as it could go and idle only droped to 2500 rpm

any suggestions?
