evo 16g fuel cut

I just want to get a opinion on something. My buddies 93 gsx has an evo16g and 190 fuel pump, front mount, exhaust, gm maf. today on the highway 4th gear pull about 4000-45000 rpm. It backfires there is no way im maxing out the 450's with 12psi right. Only thing I could think would be boost leak.Any help would be great

It is most likely a boost leak.

I got boost cut on a 16g at 15psi and 5000rpm. Had to play with the MAFT to get past it.

It is most likely a boost leak though.
