I am wanting to make my 3inch cat back but dont know what pipes I need. All I saw were 3inch cat backs on 1gs. Can someone point me in the direction of a article or the pipes I need to make one. Thanks!

well im going megan down pipe but am holding off incase the shop trips about the no cat. Thanks! looks pretty simple as i thought it would be. Looks like the can sticks out kind of weird, might just be the shot, ide like mine to sit snug under the bumper.

How does it sound?! I dont think the dp has a resenator(sp) and it deletes the cat, I havent pciked out a muffler yet but I am going to try to keep it as quiet as I can concidering its pretty free flowing.

I have a megan downpipe also, I connected it directly to it via my welding skills. The can is at a vary aggressive angle, it looks almost identical to the HKS Carbon-Ti system in terms of where it sits. I did it this way to keep the bends to small to none, If you want it sung under there, I would image another 45 would do that right after the first. I also, have no cat or resonator but the later of the two will help keep sound down. Inside the car its vary quiet, but outside its vary deep and throaty. I used a eBay knock off of the HKS Ti muffler, cost me 34 bucks shipped, and I have no complaints.

I wouldnt be scared to use a resonator either, they are cheap and will do great for sound dampening. One or two should do the trick. Vibrant makes nice ones, and if they are too pricey for ya, Dynomax makes some good bullet style mufflers also.
