So I went to clean my wheels today with Simple Green. After I sprayed them down I noticed bubbles forming where the rim meets the tire. It would explain why I lose air in my tire. What does it mean though? Improper seating of the tire on the rim? The rim looks fine. There's no dents or any signs of pothole damage. I have another wheel that has a noticeable dent and it's not leaking at all. Will a trip to Sears or Pepboys solve this problem?

take it to any tire shop and tell them that you have a rim leak. All thats causing it is corrision or somthing stuck in the bead.

Ya any tire place can fix that. They will have to break the bead and clean the lip of the rim. It could be built up dirt or if the rims are chrome the chrome could be peeling and causing it to leak.

its normal build up and they will clean the rim and or if the tire is whats the culprit for the leak bead seal it....should be rather inexpensive!!!!

Just go to Sears and let them know its a bead leak. They will break it down and see if its corrosion causing the leak. If so, they will clean and bead seal it. If they see no corrosion they will still bead seal it. Of course they will rebalance the tire as well.
