Ok this might be a very slightly noob question. I got the gasket, bolts, and washers from Dejon Tool for my Forge BOV. I was suppose to get my freaking adapter plate sometime ago but the seller is being a dick. But that's another story.

Admire the picture quality. Did I put everything in the right order?

Notice the black outline. It doesn't have it on the other side. Does this side with the black outline face the BOV or face the adapter plate? Also what kind of lubricant is good for BOVs?

Sweet thanks. I meant the lube for the workings of the BOV. There's some on the inside tube but it's starting to thin out a bit and stick. Also is there any torque specifications?

No, no real torque specs. Tight is tight. I would, however, recommend you utilize Permatex Ultra Black RTV Silicone Sealant. You can find it at NAPA. I would definately use it. Which Forge valve did you go with? Maybe this one? If this is the one you chose to go with, I would recommend reading this and this thread and this post.

Once you use the Permatex sealant, it doesn't much matter at all which side of the gasket you want to face up or down.

The previous owner used epoxy and permanantly sealed it. No worries there. I have a tube of red RTV for my FP manifold that's coming in, will red work? If I am to apply the RTV, do I coat both sides of the gasket?

For the exhuast manifold gasket you can use COPPER RTV SPRAY.

+1

I meant to say "can I use red RTV on the BOV gasket?"

I don't even use a gasket; just Toyota factory RTV. It's the best RTV I have ever used. If you want to get the BOV off, that's the hard part. Any good RTV will work though:talon:
