I'm going to go with an ACT 2100 clutch for my tsi AWD since the stock one fried less than 20 miles after I bought the car. Should I go with the 4 puck, 6 puck or disc style and should I just resurface the stock flywheel or get a perfromance one? What else do I need to change while i'm in there besides the old rear main seal? Thanks in advance

You really don't need more than a street disk if the car is still stock. I would have the stock flywheel resurfaced and you should be fine.

I'm planning to have close to 300hp after a turbo upgrade, exhaust and some tuning. I just want something to hold up to that and isn't hell on my leg or the vehicals ability to creep. Thank guys

As far as what else to replace, I would do the rear main seal, throwout bearing, and the clutch pivot ball. Definitely make sure to get the flywheel resurfaced. As far as what disc to get, for a 300 hp daily driver I would just go with the street disc. I have the 2100 with the street disc and I love it, feels just like stock and can handle a decent amount of power. Good luck with the install, pulling transmissions is fun :)

also, i would change out the clutch fork (I learned the hard way) and I will reccomend the south bend clutch sprung kevlar disk instead of a 6 puck. It will hold way more than you need and be better for longevity. Twick69 went 30,000 + miles and was pushing over 500 hp. Also, I was running that and the 2600 and had incredible hook up and no issues with being on the dyno 3 times at 350 awhp.

Yes, definately go with a street disc for streetability.

When you get the ACT2100, throw away the TOB. Order yourself a new OEM TOB, fork, pivot ball, and clip.

Thanks guys, I'm looking to order one soon and theres two choices for the act 2100 clutch disc, one says spring something and the other another name. Which one should I get?
