I just bought a '93 talon tsi awd 5spd and to my suprise the stock clutch is fried. I have 400 dollars in savings for the job (i'm installing it myself at work) and I just have to find the right clutch for me.

I've heard the ACT 2100's are good but for a FWD and I heard ACT 2600's were better for AWD applications. I'm not really planning to get over 300+ HP on this car because it's my
daily driver and I do mostly 90% highway driving and about 10% launching. I was also looking into an XTD stage 3 clutch kit but I've heard some real mixed opinions on them.
I was wondering what clutches other AWD dsm'ers upgraded to and maybe some feedback on them or what I might should do. Thanks in advance.

eBay Motors: XTD® STAGE 3 CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL/90-92 ECLIPSE /TALON AWD (item 190187075837 end time Jan-10-08 09:51:50 PST)

I got an act 2100 and it works pretty well, I would say with that budget go for an ebay clutch. I personally havent heard anything bad about them. And there pretty inexpensive.

For you, an act 2100 would suffice. It would really be senseless buying a 2600 unless you really abuse your clutch. I got my 2600 for 319 on ebay by luck and I saw a 2100 for $20 cheaper. just look in the vendors section here or on ebay.
