Hey Fellas,
My question involves my 95 GST. I bought the car as is with the following mods:Greddy BOV, Greddy turbo timer, boost gauge, turbosmart boost controller, walbro 255lph,550 venoms, adjustable fp regulator, intake, 3"downpipe, 3"full exhaust, intercooler upgrade, and a hks ignition amplifier. As most, i am on the quest for more power. I have just recently purchased a maftpro speed density kit, an aem wideband, and a data logger. I do have a laptop with a (DB9 port) i think that's right correct me if i'm wrong. What i'm wandering is do i need anything els to put a good tune on my car. I have plans for getting an evoIII 16g very soon which is why i got the wideband,maftpro,logger,etc...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you need some fuel mods at the very least get a fuel pump but stock injectors are good for 14lbs at most and i wouldnt trun it up that high without the logger hooked up

alright well then you need a bigger trubo i have most of the mods you do i have 550s but i havent installed them yet. with the 550s and since you have wideband if you go with the 16g you should be good for about 20lbs of boost around there. i wouldnt really worry about installing the other stuff untill you upgrade the turbo the t-25 wont make alot of power so if i were you id get a bigger turbo

that's kinda what i was thinkin.hopefully i'll have the 16g soon, but when i get it.should i make boost the same psi as it was with the t25, and then just slowly add boost and fuel. and of course watch for knock. will i be able to tune it good with the maft, wideband, and datalogger?

thats exactly what i would do. with the wideband youll know if you run to lean or to rich remeber its better to run alittle rich then lean. just watch your not knock and ## a/f ratio and you should be fine what intercooler do you again?

o yeah i almost forgot when you go to the 16g make sure you eaither port the wastegate flapper or go with exenral wastegate right now i creep like a bi*** ive got an external gate im going to be puting on once my new manifold is done other then that you should be ok

i believe the intercooler is spearco. it was on when i got the car. machv is where im getn that turbo. they say they can upgrade the wastegate flapper and port the housing.i think im gonna run my stock manifold for now. funds kinda limited. i think its like 150 or 200 bucks for the flapper upgrade. so ill just wait on the ext.wastegate. even though it would be nice

its a front mount? if you upgrade the flapper so should be fine and ###### wont need an external gate your stock manifold is fine im running a 2g but its ben ported you might want to see about have the collector ported out from 6cm to 7cm if its not to mcuh at least but when you get that turbo on and tune it should go really good your using a maft pro to tune? let me know how that workls out im using a maft and a safc2 at the moment

i was just thinking did you say the flapper upgrade was 150-200 ? for that you can get 38 tial wastegate maybe even cheaper if you buy a used one. but then you need to have a dump tube made and your going to need a flange welded on to your manifold or a totally new one but thats all up to you just a thought

I was actually wandering if people welded on a flange to the stock manifold. do you know how it performs?do you think i'll have any creep if i get the wastegate ported? i'd like to find someone to help me tune. i dont have alot of money, and i don't want to screw up my engine, but i do have to learn sometime i guess.

i live in ct. right now thats why im not running my external gate i know a guy who can weld anything and he is brazing i think its called the flange onto my 2g manifold i have i think if you port the turbo you should be ok but if you want to go to a bigger turbo down the road the external gate may be a better choice im still thinking of going to a 35r or somthing around that size in the summer but i dont know yet
