Hi everyone,

I live in the 93702 area(Fresno) and will be receving a DSMlink in the next couple of days. Can someone help tune my car for me? I haven't a clue when it comes to this. If someone lived near here, and is willing to help me please PM me. I would really appreciate it. I don't have a lap top or a logger, so if you also have one that would help, or I can see if I can buy one before we meet.

My profile is very up to date, so everything you need to know is current. I have a stock fuel system. What I'm most concerned about is just getting this random misfire fix before I up grade my injector and fuel pump. I saved a long time for this DSMlink, so it would be sometime before I can upgrade my fuel system.

Thanks.

You do realize you need your own laptop to actually use DSMlink right?

And as for the tuning, check out the DSMlink forums. Youll find more than you need to know there.

Believe me, I've read everything in here about tuning with it. And yes I realized I need a laptop. Reading it with out actually seeing and doing hands on is not helping much. Maybe when i can actually see what I'm rading about on the lap top, it would be clearer, but as of right now, I'm afraid I will mess something up that's all.

The sooner you get signed up for access to the DSMLink forums, the better off you'll be. You can search there for any question you may have & ask the ones that you don't find. The folks there are all using it, so you'll not only have help from a wide user base but also from Dave & Thomas, the creators of it. Their assistance alone is worth the all of the time it took you to save up the cash to buy it when you run into something that you need their help to figure out! :D It's free to registered DSMLink owners, so there's no reason not to get signed up & on the forum there! Believe me, you''ll be glad that you did. ;)

You don't need a laptop. I haven't used one with DSMLink in half a decade. I'm using an old Palm Pilot IIIC. Just hook it up to your desktop via the cradle or whatever they use nowadays to download logfiles back to your Desktop computer.

You can cheaply rewire your stock fuel pump for a ton more fuel flow. Around $40 total in materials from Radioshack. Then tune away with DSMLINK. Cheers.

DSMLINK is really not all that hard to tune with, after you browse through the forums you'll see that there is a procedure to get your "base" tune down. After you get your base, then it is just minor tweaking to start getting some power! :)

P.S. You are more than welcome to PM me if you want, I can help take a look at your logs.

Don't you have to purchase dsmlink to be on the forums?

What you do is...go make a pass with it logged. Stop make sure infront of residential. or business. get on their internet (wireless) and read some and go for it again.

To my knowledge, yes you have to have a chip (DSMlink in possesion) to get a user ID.

And youre the reason I password protect my wireless connections.
