Sorry about this thread but im at aw with the next upgrade i should do. I have a stock turbo, stock piping, aftermarket bov, MBC, full gauges but i have a narrowband. Im hitting 15 lbs and i also have 3 in exhaust straight back. I have a ported mani and port 02.

I was thinking about getting cams from brian crower. 272/272 300 bucks.
I was thinking about a bigger turbo but with my setup now will it help that much. I will still hit fuel cut at high boost. I would also like to stay with the garrett turbo.
SAFC-2- I don't see what i can do with this with a stock-er set up but i think it would benefit.
I also saw a fmic kit for 300 bucks and that would look good and perform for me.
Anything else i forgot that will help. Injectors ect.

I just need some advice on what you guys would do. I don't have a tree in my back yard that grows money. I have about 150-300 a month to spend on my baby. So this upgrade will be strung about over 5 months. I will be getting a check back from college soon.

Another thing. I would like to save some money in there and but a first gen as my dd when my 2g is down. I see them all the time cheap with problems that are so simple they don't smell the gas leaking through a cut fuel line.( My buddy got a 91 tsi awd 150 bucks with a leaky fuel line. We took it straight to murrays and fixed it. Sold it the next week for 1500)

Well you have done about everithing you can do to a stock t25 your next step is a bigger turbo maybe an fpt28 or a mitsu evo316g but you will need fuel and some sort of tunning device.
 
I'll say what everyone tells me "whats your goals with the car?" I aggree with the person above me, the old "hair dryer" that you got now is useless! If money wasn't an issue I would reccommend what everyone does and go with an evo 3 16g. If you don't want to save the $450-600 for that, I would reccommend the old 14b. Then save and build off of that. Fp, management, bigger ic, ect.... So I guess imo if your willing to wait and save for an evo3, I'd go with that. If not go 14b. I definetly wouldn't dick with cams. At this stage they wouldn't do anything. Keep us updated:thumb:
 
Well I goes it is going to be a turbo. I am going to look for good deals on a safc. What can i do to stop my fuel cut. Will bigger injectors and a fuel pump stop that?
 
Usually the first thing you want to do is do fuel management (injectors/ fuel pump).
I'd look at a 255, since it's the same price as the 190, but provides room for growing.
Injector size really depends on what turbo you go with, what kinda of gas you want to run, etc.

Is there any specific turbos you had been looking at? Like maybe GT series (30R or something of that like)?

Is there a certain HP range, or ET you're looking to get?
 
I would look at an Intercooler and upgrade the IC piping. AFC would be good but figure out your goal first so you do not waste money. Injectors and fuel pump next. Then go to turbo upgrade.
 
I vote for dsmlink and a wideband, also do a compression test, leak down test, boost leak test, and change your timing belt, balance shaft belt, and associated parts along with a water pump... unless you changed them recently
 
well if your hitting cut you should turn boost down till you get that figured out. Like everyone said depends on goals and use. but wideband would be good, maybe a logger. DSMLink is great. Replace your piping. Fuel system. Short on money could get a stage3 chip. maft. safc but by that time if u bought chip/maft/safc or whatever little set up it'd equal to price of Link. DSMLink isn't expensive. say ## goals.
