On Craigs list there was a 90 RST supply battrey and $400 and drive home. So yesterday went down to take a look at it. The Laser was a normal Calf. car no rust not a ding in the body and the paint ready to fall off the inside perfect tires OK (steel rims). But whenI looked under the hood the MAF was disconnected and yes the battrey was gon the oil was low the water was below the filler neck along with the brake fluid being low. It was getting late and I needed supplies.

So today pulled the battrey out of my GSX and the ECU (rember the MAF disconnected) and with oil water and brake fluid headed back down. When I got there filled all the fluids dropped in the battrey hooked up the MAF and started it. Well needless to say it ran like dog pupu but there were no internal noises so took it for a short drive 1/2 block bucking and farting all the way.

So knowing it ran I dropped the $400 in there happy hands and went back out to the car removed the old ECU and installed the GSX one and restarted it. MAN it ran like a swiss watch (you should have seen the jaws drop on the people I just bought the car from ROFL) They had spent big bucks on so called mechanics and finaly gave up.

So after a 60mile drive home I now have a $400 laser.

And Yes the CAPS were fried in the ECU.

A little knowledge goes a long way:thumb:
