about this turbo kit

Everything in that auction is junk... EVERYTHING. I don't know how many times this has come up here on dsmtuners, but everytime someone asks "what do you think of this" or "did anyone ever use these?" and there is a link to ebay I think the moderators should just delete the thread.. seriously. Sorry man I'm just really angry right now because my car just got rear ended. But yeah, don't waste your money on that crap

rite now the car is not a daily driver im looking for a turbo kit that will make around 250 to 300 hp i looked at slow boy racing and all i could find was a turbo kit for thr 2nd gen will this work on my 1st gen?

Pretty much all Ebay turbo kits are complete junk. Everything in them is knock-off and will most likely end up falling apart after a few miles. I know someone who ordered one and the turbo he received had the housing made of plastic.

Oye, totally missed the fact you have a GST. Yeah, forget the kit entirely then.

You don't need a damn kit to make 300hp. Just get a Big 16g or EVO III 16g, a 190lph pump, 550cc injectors and an SAFC2 and you should be able to make it easily. No need to waste money on an IC that you will have to complete fab up the piping for, a manifold that won't fit and crack, an O trim turbo that won't even build boost until 2nd gear, a wastegate that has a worthless diaphragm in it that will leak at anything over 15lbs and a BOV that will make you sound fast and furious. Do a little research on how to get to 300whp first before you ask questions. There is a whole guide that states what mods you should do first, what you need to support them, so on and so forth.

If you want to turbo your N/T, your best bet is piecing together all the needed parts yourself, or go with a name brand turbo kit.

Not all eBay turbo's are junk. Some of them have supported some nice times/numbers. Not that many are falling apart like they used to. And I HIGHLY doubt your "friend" got a turbo with a housing made out of plastic. That's all this site needs is more BS "hearsay".

Not saying all Ebay turbos are junk. I was commenting on the kit in its entirety. I am all for getting the most for your money, and in no way, shape, or form are knocking bang for buck. I have a lot of N/T friends, and any turbo that came in a kit like this from Ebay self imploded within a few months. Recently it seems they are getting better, outside the kits anyway, but I have no experience with that.

By the way, yes, the compressor housing was made of plastic, and also held together by some type of glue. I was there, and I physically felt it myself. Needless to say he didn't put it on his car, but I can't imagine if he did.

This eBay listing is garbage. I didn't even have to look at it (but I did) in order to see it would be, the title gives it away. As others mentioned above, you don't need a "kit" to get that type of power, look at the Stage 0,1,2 on the main page to get some more knowledge on how to upgrade and "free up" more power.

Thanks,

c4

You can get about three hundred horses on the 14b. A turbo-back exhaust, Intake, and a manual boost controller ADDS decent power. Just do your homework, you will find things out.
