Calling all transmission guru's.

Okay, I have a Galant tranny.. A 95 I believe. Problem is, the differential inputs are smaller than the GST axles. If I go to Advanced/Auto Zone, can I get a set of axles for a Galant and they fit on the GST?

I tried to a use gst axle for my gsx and it was to big so if you can try the gsx axles.

This is what I gathered from it..

KE(or F, hard to tell)5M312VVXF SPS(or 5)220


Then by the bar code it had this under it. BSP5280-VVXF

I was unable to find info on 2vvxf. check that the numbers you gave me are correct. the f5m31 came in several cars of different years, and i need the f5m312#### to tell me the year of this transmission. The f5m312zpxv did come in the eclipse spyder, and the transmission you have may work with spyder axles but i would like to know the year, and what this transmission came out of for certain before I will say it will work.

OK new info. If you are certain that it came out of a galant then install the galant axles and you will be good.

It also says had Galant written on it in a grease marker. My question is, will the Galant axles fit and work? Like length wise and still fit in the hubs?

yes, all will work. The galant hubs have the same part number as the eclipse ones!
