Hi everyone, I'm just looking for some help in regards to installing megasquirt on my car. I purchased a V3.57 MSI board, preconfigured for the DSM ignition. I've also purchased and modified a crossover harness to allow the MS to use the stock harness. Now, my trouble is... it's not working. When I plug the MS in and crank the engine, it shows that it is not receiving a RPM signal. I've spent a lot of time trying to diagnose and pinpoint the issue. So far I've tested that:
a) the CAS is sending both the CKP and CMP signals (car runs with stock ECU, also tested with a multimeter)
b) the crossover harness is constructed properly (triple checked to make sure pins are in the correct places, used multimeter to ensure that the connections are good)
c) the configuration is set properly (Matt at DIYautotune has confirmed this)
I'm out of ideas, and I'm not sure what to do. The guys at DIY have offered to send me an RMA and have them check the board out themselves to make sure all is good, but seeing as I live in Canada and the car is supposed to go off to have some work done soon, I'd like to avoid that. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please share them! Thanks in advance.
