Safc Wiring Question

I know how i am going to do it, i am going to solder the wires on but how do you strip the ecu wires without cutting them? I just need to know how to get the covering of the wires off thanks.

I usually use a sharp knife and carefully slice away the the insulation by carving along the wire at a slight angle into the insulation.

so is there no tool i can get or use? i am just afraid of cutting the wire.
