ebay knock off turbo?

just bought this turbo off ebay and was told that it was a 14b, but the part # was stamped down and engraved with new #'s. also theres alittle bit of in and out shaft play and some side to side play. theres some scraping on the compressor housing from the fins also. is the turbo any good still? heres some pix. let me know, thanks

Def. not a 14b, maybe some kind of 16g.

It's a 13G from a 1G auto. If there's any scraping of the compressor wheels, it will need to be rebuilt. Refer to my guide for more info:

However, if it was listed as a 14B you can absolutely contact the seller and say it is not as specified in the listing. Tell them it's significantly not as described and/or file a paypal claim if they're not willing to refund your money.

thats what i hate about buying stuff off ebay! if its used about half the time, IMO, you are getting someone elses junk! Also if you turn the guy in with ebay or paypal they will put a lock on his account and he will have no choice but to refund your money! Good luck and merry christmas
