my car has recently been getting hot after a few days of driving it. it slowly loses water but i dont know where its losing it to.

i have a Flexalite 12" & autozone 10" fan (pushing air) .
PWR aluminum radiator
new water pump, new radiator cap , & no thermostat

i did a cooling system pressure test, no leaks.

i also did a compression test on the motor, 155psi on all 4 cylinders (4000miles on new motor btw.)

ive noticed sometimes after driving it after shutting it off it spits water out of the overflow tank, which isn't good, its not overfull either.

but why is it doing that ?

the only other thing i can think of is the fans are slowly taking a crap. the turbo is less than 1" away from the 12" fan, it has a heat shield but i dunno if its enough, i wonder if the heat from the turbo is messing up the fans ? i had the manifold & turbo jet hot coated recently. necessary to get a turbo blanket ?

Interesting you bring this up as I am sort of the same predicament. The first time it happened my head gasket was on its way out but now I have a Cometic HG and ARP Studs, but it never overheats just gets really warm and looses slight amounts of coolant

You are probably pushing coolant or you have a small crack in the head somewhere that opens up when the motor gets hot, in which heats up a water jacket somewhere and starts boiling the coolant. Have you put a new cap on?

this head is just as fresh as my motor is. also when do you even see our cylinder heads crack ? theyre made of aluminum they'll warp before they crack. and the radiator cap is new.

Check your weep holes on the top and bottom of the water pump,Mine leaked so slightly that I could never even tell but at at meet I was boiling coolant out of the overflow. It lasted about 2 weeks after that and I had to replace the water pump.

yea i checked those before didnt see anything, ill double check it again and see if thats the problem, shouldnt be though the pump is new. hmmm

MLS head gaskets can push coolant just like cometic can push coolant as well. the symptoms described are associated with a blown HG. everyone is just telling you what they know. since you have new everything thats all i can think of.
it gets over 100 degrees here in AZ and i still only run one stock fan. try to make your fans run they entire time your car is on. how quickly does your car overheat btw? and does your car push coolant out the overflow when it's overheating or all the time? HG pushing coolant will make coolant come out the overflow at operating temp.

Is your turbo still water cooled? Could be the reason for lost coolant, a small leak might not show white smoke in the exhaust.
Could also explain the pressurization at stop.

turbo is non water cooled now.

it recently started doing this after i redid my I/C piping, the head gasket isnt blown, i did a compression test and everything came out to 155psi with no leaks. it over heats after driving for long periods of time because it spits coolant out and itll push coolant out sometimes when its at normal temps.

IT's TOO FREAKING HOT ~! - & you answered your own question as to where it;s "going" ....

Put a thermostat in there, and make sure your fans are blowing the right direction.

yea i just put a 180* thermostat in it yesterday and the fans are blowing in the correct direction, still gets hot..i think the FLEXALITE unit is taking a dump on me, i dont think its blowing as much as it used to, im gonna try and get another fan and see if it helps.
