:dsm: 97 GSX. Malfunction in Air fuel ratio sensor. Does anyone know if the code is for the primary or secondary?

No, but the car had been sitting for quite awhile and just got back on the road. I had put some dry gas and octane booster in it. But I scanned it a work today and the scanner said air fuel ratio malfunction.

Yeah, thats what I've found on the web also. I'm just going to clear the code after work and see what happens, car was running fine. Thanks

It wouldn`t be the first time that some scannng equipment had incorrect/outdated code descriptions in their built-in database. The scanner in our shop has indicated wrong code info before, mostly on foreign manufacturers - :talon:

Yeah, I work at a honda dealer, so ours can scan for general codes. However it doesn't have have the added software to list many details, and that software built in it is as old as the scanner....probably pretty out dated.
