How long does gas last?

Gasoline begins to deteriorate after as little as 6 months. You can use stabilizers if you know you're going to have gas sitting for more than that time, but stabilizers won't bring bad gas back to life.

To answer: About 6 months.

Yea, 6 months is the majic #. I use to split on barrels of C16 ( for 3 bucks a gallon) and it would usually last us through the summer before you could start to hear some knock on my buddies knock amplifier he had back in the day. Since my one friend retired from the place that sold it, i can't get C16 that cheap anymore, that's why i'm wanting alky injection Sooo bad!

I believe the spec. shelf life for avgas is minimum one year as opposed to mogas which is six months.
