Alright so...question #1. Last night i noticed i started overheating...and it looked like a coolant leak. Started looking around (after the car cooled down) and my lower radiator hose has a hole in it. but the hole came from my transmission (the rod on the outside that movies when you change gears) has anyone ever had this happen to them? I don't want to replace it just for it to happen again....

my other question is an electrical one....last month....my battery started corroding...not bad, but a little.....then it started acting quirky, and before i could change it, it wouldn't start, and actually started smoking from the positive terminal. So I replaced it with what i could get at the time (nothing great) and now it's corroding again (badly, and starting week) also my CEL and E-Brake light wont go off...any suggestions?

thanks..

You'll have to buy a new battery, or just keep cleaning that one up. Your choice.

Make sure your brake fluid reservoir is full. Chances are that is why your brake light is on.

Take a picture of what you're referring to about the transmission poking a hole in the radiator hose.

you are going to need a lower hose regardless, if it is still hitting the trans shift bar, cut about inch off of the end of the rad. hose and clamp it down.. this will shorten the hose and should pull the hose away from the trans shift bar. as fa as the battery, i would make sure that you have really good grounds. make sure all the body grounds of rust free and have good solid contacts
