Ok, so i've searched the forums, but I can't seem to find exactally what i'm looking for. I have recently done a front mount, as some may know, but now the problem is I need slims fans to clear the piping. I've looked around ebay and seen those universal slims fans, but they are only a two wire setup. Is it possible to wire those up to our setups? Has anyone done this before?

Yes, i have the slimline fan we sell on my 2g and i only wired the two wires into my plug, i disregarded the others, i was afraind it wouldt work, but it works just fine. Go blue to blue and black to black, that is the way to wire it up to push. I did mine that way because I mounted it on the back side of the rad pushing in towards the engine bay. If you mount it on the engine bay side you need to reverse the wires to pull. I would suggest mounting it on the back side pushing in like i did because those fans push more air than they pull.

i always thought you weren't suppose to wire the lo and the high settings together? Is that true?

The fan's speed is a function of the fan's motor. The relays simply activate when accordingly. So, once you remove the fan itself, there is no more high and low - just ON and OFF.

Wiring both relay wires together will ensure that the fan will ALWAYS be powered up at 210*F and higher.

PS: I have had mine wired up this way for almost 3 years now, and it's working great.

Yes, it's very easy to wire a 2-wire aftermarket fan up to the existing relay system.

Cut the plug off the radiator fan wiring and then wire as follows:

Blue-green AND Black wires to the fan's ground wire and
White-black AND White-blue wires to the fan's power wire

Is this wired up to pull air or push? ### I'm putting the new fans in the stock locations.

so then i assume they are setup from the factory to pull, which is what i need.

Since your stock fans are on the back of the radiator, yes.

I run the Procomps as well as a few friends and they work great. Also you can buy radiator fan mounting kits from any parts store for like $2.99.
