I recently removed my emissons and Cruise Control, so Im thinking the non-cruise throttle cable is the culprit?

I dont have a timing belt so I cant start my car to see how it runs, but when the key is turned to ACC a quiet rumbling comes from the TPS, is sounds like coffee brewing is the best I can describe it. Does anyone know what the hell this is?

Are you sure it's from the TPS? Your fuel system is primed when you turn the key to the 'ACC' position, for easy starts. It makes a lighter, kind of coffee brewing trickling sound. However you may explain it :]

Yes there is a fuel prime noise right when you turn the key on. but what i think you are hearing is your Idle speed control sensor. it is on the throttle body as well but it is underneath it. it's no big deal it is just old. not to mention your car probably hasn't run in awhile. next time it makes the noise unplug it and it stops. plug it back in and it starts again. once you start the car it goes away though

Hey man, Thank you. I was just about to delete my thread because I went out into my garage and looked again and it is the ISC. Im rusty on my DSM lingo because I just started working on this car again.

Im assuming this is normal then? Is a "good one" silent? Because mine sounds like shit, like its rattling or something, maybe I should take it out and clean it, I shouldnt be able to screw that up.
