Rebuilt with .20 pistons

Hi I am new to forums and got a couple of questions. I recently rebuilt my entire block with a topline rebuild kit. I had the block acid dipped and bored .20 and the head rebuilt and ported/polished. Only to find out my exhaust side turbine housing had a slight crack!!! Im in despair cause i dont know if this will effect the break in/ time needed to save money for a new housing. What should i do?? It ran before i put it in the shop and was strong even at 177,675 miles. Any tips would help

Slight cracks are common to find due to heat stress.

Does this mean that i can run it throught the break in period? Will it effect the valves seating properly due to possiable leakage?

No it won't effect your engine break in period. The slight crack is a normal thing. You don't have to replace the housing due to a slight crack.

OK i was just wondering because i didnt want to waste the 1300$ worth the machineing work. My car will be back up and running by tomorrow, I just have to connect all the electronics and my turbo timer.

A old turbo can be better during break-in. The cracks in the turbine housing are normal.
