Well i have been searching for answers from buschur and extremepsi. I am wondering how many pounds of boost i can run on the stock 14b or 16g with out upgrading injectors or ecu. They tell me different things. Please help...... Ok i have a 94 gs with 4g63t 5 speed motor is rebuilt stock. I have a full 3 inch down pipe, apexi n1 3 inch exhaust, manual boost controller, boost gauge, walbro 190lph, 2g maf w/harness, 2g maf air filter adapter, custom 3inch intake to the turbo. I am waiting on the fmic and 16g for now that will be the final upgrade. Are all these parts too much or just right for the injectors and ecu let me know thanks. SGT Foster

P.S. what is the max boost i can run on each turbo 14b and small 16g with the 450 injectors

Exactly what he said. Usually it's about 15-16 with the 14b, but the 16g will be lower since it flows a lot more air. Do you have an afc to tune in the 2g maf with? Personally I wouldnt buy a 16g with stock injectors unless you plan on upgrading them. But you will need a datalogger like spoolin said.

And the answer still is BUY A DATALOGGER.
Your not going to know how much boost you can run safely without something to read your knock counts, every car is different. One car may knock at 14psi another may knock at 16psi, to be safe, dont turn the boost up till you get something to log with.
It also depends on what octane fuel your using.

+1

It's really dependent on your car, My car runs 18lbs completely stock except for a FPR from an auto car which is 6lbs higher than stock, I also see 93% duty cycle at that boost. Needless to say my car is not a daily driver and I have it running like that just for test purposes. Outside temperature is also below 50 degrees when I ran it like this. I'll also add that at 20lbs of boost my injectors were at 97% duty cycle. As you can see, the stock injectors run out real fast when you crank the boost. Be safe keep it at stock boost till you have some idea of whats going on when you turn it up.

Well i am running 94 oct with octane booster. Let me clarify something i am not a newbie just not able to tune at all i understand everything i do need i am just trying to not get to wild with this one. Last engine was 92 jdm 5spd awd selectable tranny .30 wiesco, eagle rods, stock head extreme psi exhaust manifold cylclone intake custom 3 in intake with air filter 3.5 gm maf with translator walbro 255 880 cc from extremepsi act 2600 fidanza flywheel extreme psi 65ar turbo, huge fmic, free flowing 3 inch exhaust, custom external oil cooler, and safc 2. Just wanting to do bolt ons this time and hit around 300hp with this car being fwd and all. Buschur racing said 16g with all that at no more than 18psi but said i have to have the 190lph. Just wanting some more opinions thanks for you help SGT Foster

thanks allwheeltsi i guess i am just ready for that turbo rush again miss my old laser but 140 in a 70 dui makes for an expensive lawyer. LOL guess i will just run the new exhaust boost gauge w/controller, and 2g maf at say 16lbs till i have the money for extremepsi 190lph 550cc and safc neo package still thinking about clutch upgrade probably going a little lighter this time act2100 and fidanza FW. but think i will stick with a smaller turbo this time still thinking 16g or big 16g want to make this car a highway racer. thanks for all your help guys SGT Foster

i would run 15 psi max on 14b and 450cc's.. if you want more boost then 16g and 550cc injectors with tuning device such as safc.. while your at it if your going with 16g and 550cc's you might as well install a fmic to keep the air cooler

I would run stock boost until you get a datalogger, you have a lot of variable's that you have no way of monitoring. I don't understand how you can have all of those modifications, but you never thought to get a datalogger.

get a logger and find out. even 15PSI may be over kill. mine would start knocking in the mid 4K RPM range and be over 20 counts of knock with 105% injector duty at 5500+. i never hit 6K like that, but i wasn't going to loose to a honda so i had to hit 5500 with the damn alarm going off the last 1/4 of the track :( ,
