I got on it a little bit in the snow on the way to work thursday morning. It was 0 degrees out. The car was warmed up but it was cold as hell out. I am always really good about warming the car up thoroughly before beating on it if I beat on it. I usually take it pretty easy on it but it has been running so good since it got really cold out. After I stopped and parked it at work i let it idle for a minute and a half or so before shutting it off. I always do this. A poor man's turbo timer. As I sat there letting it cool down a bit I heard ticking from the head. Sounds liek the traditional loud dsm lifter tick but quite a bit louder. It runs fine, isn't making any smoke, no oil in the coolant or vice versa. Did I hurt a lifter? It runs nice and smooth with the indication of a bent valve or something like that. I'm pretty bummed. The winter is my favorite time to drive my Talon. It's a blast in the snow. I have it set a stock ride height specifically for going nutty in the snow.

if your performance isnt hurt at all than I wouldnt worry about it. That is if it still idles and drives fine.
