Crash bumper material 2g talon tsi awd

I just want to be sure here since I've never seen another car setup this way. The stock crash bumper for the car that the bumper cover bolts on to. On my car it's a hard plastic material- is this the same for everyone? I've always seen metal.

I think only the 1g's are metal. Mine is plastic.

My 95 GST had a fiberglass crash support whereas the one I just purchased from a 2gb appears to be ABS plastic.
