I seem to keep buying the same crap spark plug wires from the auto part stores, what brand and how much did you pay for yours?? Does the width matter? Name your brand and where did you get them!:talon:

I'm using accel thundersports and I know a guy thats done mid 11 sec runs on the same wires. You can also consider magnecore wires they seem to be a popular choice aswell.

BTW silver bullit he's talking about wires not plugs.

I have Accel 8mm wires. I think they were $30 shipped, and they're yellow with black writing. I have had no problems with them, and many think Accels are the best value out there... do a search with that name.

Here's a link:
Wires at Amazon

I think I got mine through Amazon, but I don't remember exactly.

MSD wires are pricey but worth it. When buying spark plug wires, you want to look for the least amount of resistance (measured in ohms over a specific length of wire). The general rule of thumb is that the wider the wire, the less resistance. Of course the materials used also play a huge role in all this. If you can afford them, go with the MSDs. They're about $100, I got mine from Slowboy.

From what I remember accels are 2nd down from msd wires when you look at ohms. The msd set is pretty expensive over here but accel wires have been great so far. I say go with either accel, msd or magnecore and you'll be fine.

Ngk's are good reliable and long lasting. I also know a few people who run oem mitsubishi wires on 11 sec cars. Dsm's ignition systems are very good just dont go cheap get the factory wires from mitsu.

Magnecores FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! I've burned through 3 sets of ACCEL wires in one week, after a few hard runs they'd get to where they'd make the car miss BAD under boost. After changing out 3 brand new setsI said to hell with it and got the 85 magnecores. I put them on my car about 5-6 years ago now and they are still holing up to this day. Just keep a good valve cover gasket and don't let oil fill the plug gallys, that ruins wires fast.

I also use NGK blue wires. They were great for about 3 years. But I've seen OML wires( I think that's the name) that are very wide (possibly 10mm+). Haven't used them, so can't say how they work. They should be good.

I used NGK for about 50k miles with no problem. I now have MSD superconductors. They seem great so far.

Agreed, for just a bit more than the price of really good wires ($75-120) you can have the COP setups. Then you have no wires to get brittle, arch, accidentally swap, get tangled up in some wiring, etc. And you get more spark per cylinder then you would with any conventional setup. Not to mention....it looks wayyy better.

Its a bit more of an investment, but worth every penny.
