Meth, Nitrous, Race Gas

I know this is one of those topics that is pretty much summed up by but I realize opinions change and new kits are always coming out so I figured I would see if anything new is out there...

Running a gt35r and on pumpgas I can get about 19psi without knock. I'd like to bump that up to about 24psi on pump gas for daily driving without any nitrous. This is easily done with pretty much any meth injection kit out there today. However, for the track I will be running 30-32 psi and a 50-75 shot of nitrous to help with some spool-up. I'm running a NX wet kit and I setup my intake manifold for direct port meth but I have yet to order whichever kit I'm going to use.

Anybody out there running something similar? Preferences on meth direct port kits? I'm leaning toward a progressive controller type, anyone have any good/bad stories about them?

Also, how exactly do I go about tuning this setup? Tune for meth afr first and then work on the nitrous jetting?

As far as tuning goes I have no clue.. I'll let you know in about a week or two because i'll be doing this same set up.. But I know meth into the manifold is a bad idea.. I was actually talked out of it by a couple of shops because I was going to have a second set of ports added to my sbr manifold for meth.. I know it can be done.. I've seen it done.. But I wouldnt recommend it.. And besides you'd have to buy bigger solenoids , a different sensor system and a bunch of other stuff.. Atleast thats how it is on any other car i've tuned.. What tuning program are you running dsmlink?

You know ive been looking into getting one of those kits myself soon. I know Snow Performance has a kit for the Eclipse that comes with a lifetime warranty. Im not quite 100% sure on that thought. Anyone know of a good kit out there?

The DevilsOwn progressive kit looks pretty nice. They're actually in the process of testing out a new controller that will be added to their lineup in the near future.

I'm running the Devils Own Alcohol Injection kid on my 2 with a TO4b v trim.. and loved it. Defiantly one of the best investments on my dsm. I will be installing the FP Green This weekend and will let you know how it comes out on the dyno with the meth. I also hope to run 24psi daily and safely.

Devils Own and Snow Performance have the best ones out right now.. Snow Performance is a better company IMO based on seeing it in some various VW and Nissans.. But once Devils Own releases the knew controller who knows.. Would have to call them and see how long until it comes out and how long your willing to wait.. A.E.M makes a kit also.. Very similar (if not identical to snow from what I hear).. I've seen the kit on a few sights but it said parts may vary depending on application so.. Who knows.. Haven't anyone using it thought.. If anyone is would like some feedback please!!.. But thats just my .02

whiteythepimp: why exactly did the shops recommend avoiding the direct port method? was it just because of the additional equipment or was there some negative effect of it? From what I have heard, on high hp applications direct port is a much safer and more effective way of injection due to the better distribution and it makes tuning at these higher hp levels easier since every cylinder is getting an equal amount of meth.

I realize there are alot of alcohol/meth injection companies out there; snow(reliable but a little $$), aquamist(the best but also the most $$$), devils own (best price), alky control, etc but it seems like very few ppl have experience with multiple kits...everyone likes the one they have and recommends it...in fact I don't think I have heard a bad report yet!!!

I'm looking to be running high nine and low ten second times this spring and pushing about 800 at the wheels so I want to avoid going through multiple kits to get the best one (aside from aquamist b/c I'm not paying over a grand). I have tried cutting corners in the past and I learned the hard way not to so I would like to avoid repeating that learning process here...anyone making that kind of power with meth and possibly nitrous out there???

You should PM or just straight up call Lucas English English Racing | HOME. I'm sure he has expieriance with multiple meth injection kits since he installs them. As far as expieriance with high HP applications... just take a look at Paul Neilson's EVO, that Lucas pretty much built (95% of the work was done by him) that's putting out over 1000 HP.
