I went to start my car this morning ( 91 TSi AWD) and it seemed as it had no power. I jumped the car and it then started up. As soon as I put it in first and started driving, the car starts to cut out every 3 seconds than starts going again, makes driving the car feel like I'm driving over a rocky mountain with the car jerking back and forth as it cuts out every time. The anti-lock light is flashing as this is happening.

Any idea's? I checked out all my battery cables and everything is nice and tightened.

Have your alternator tested. Common signs of a failing alternator include dash indicator lights flashing.

any other electrical problems? like windows not working and gauges acting up also? If so try the Fusable Link.

im having this same exact problem now. i just replaced the battery yesterday and it started happening again today. so since my alternator is on a lifetime warranty, im gonna change that again and see what happens... hopefully, it was just a defective alternator.
