I'vw got a 97 GSX that i am completing my 6 bolt swap on and have a few questions. I have the round CAS and am trying to figure out what i need to do once i get the car running. I have DSM link, and i set the CAS in the middle of the adjustment for the 2 studs. Is the car going to compensate or do i adjust this CAS like a 1G with a timing light?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Set the CAS up like you did, in the middle. Start the car, inside DSMlink there is an option to ground the timing so you can adjust the base timing without the ECU interfering. Then adjust the base timing to 5* with a timing light the same way you would with a 1g.

Or you could pull the injector plugs and crank the car over and set the timing for 0*-1* with the car cranking over, not running. This is how people do it without dsmlink since there isnt a grounding plug on the 96-99's.

Thank you very much for the input, that answered my question and will make my life much easier now.
