DSM Backup manual cd

I just recently purchased a backup manual cd with wincaps from FP. The install of the manual on the hard drive was very easy ,but for some reason I can't get wincaps to load or even start the program....

A pop-up says this exactly this

16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOECEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Please help me....
