I am haveing a draw from somewhere, on my data logger its saying i have around 12.8 to 13.4 volts at idle. I am not sure whats going on. I am not getting the 14.2 volts that i need. I am getting that 12.8 when i have the lights on radio, defrost, heat, and thats where its at. 12.8. But with nothing on its 13.4 volts. I think i have a draw from somewhere at least i think i do. Any ideas? I just replaced the alt today so the alt is out of the question.

Not necissarily, just because you replaced the alternator doesnt mean you put a good one in... I have gone through so many "new" alternators before its retarted. Anyway your voltages look ok. Remember full output should be around 2500 RPM, and your looking for 12.8-14.4V. If theres a little mileage on the car then it would be a good idea to do a grounding kit mod. It really will help alot. You might have a little excessive draw but nothing major there that i see. My 2 cents!

Hey turbobird14 is right check your ground wires and maybe the batt to alt power cable and ends of the conectors! My 2g is doing the same thing! I found a few ground wires that were off and fixed them and it went away.. I only had one ground to the batt hooked up.. Try it out

12.8V at idle with all that stuff on? I would be happy about that.

I see nothing wrong with your voltage, its within spec. for at idle.

oh thanks everyone, i was just worried i was always told with school and books and stuff that it should be around 14.2. Thanks again.
