I'm pretty sure my CAS is leaving. It threw a CEL already and stalled on me in reverse on Wednesday. Then last night, after shutting it off for 10 mins to get my g/f breadsticks, it would not start again till I put it in neutral. After going through about 250 results on the word "CAS" I could not decide what to do. Would it be better to just replace the sensor with a 97-99 CAS? Or should I go with the more radical and performance wise choice of swapping in a 1G CAS? If it's the latter, is there any specific differences in 1G CAS's? I know which ones will work and hopefully they're all the same. I plan on saving myself the hassle and getting an RRE harness for it.

I swapped a 1G harness in my 95'. Probably one of the best moves I've made. You will need to switch a few wires on your ECU and swap the blue wires on your ignition coils.

I've got a spare harness as well as a spare CAS. PM me if interested.

Nope they are still there. It's in the worst place ever, right near the intake cam. You basically have to take the timing belt off and the cam gear off just to get to the damn thing. Which is why I did the swap.

95-96 cars also had a CPS (crank position sensor) but the 1Gs has both sensors incorporated into one.

90-94 had the big CAS on the side.
95-96 had the CAS inside the head.
97-99 had an altered CAS on the side but still used a CPS.
