EVO IX 560cc injectors??

Will EVO IX 560cc injectors work fine with my '98 GST? And i only have a stock fuel pump atm... and just bought a SAFC...

I am almost positive that they are the same as evoVIII injectors, and if that is the case then they are a direct replacement. I personally have evoVIII injectors and the only thing you need to change is to use the o rings from your injectors where it mounts into the fuel rail. The evo orings are too big and will not fit into your fuel rail. Good luck

AFC 1st and then injectors. I'd say leave your stock pump in until you get a little more proficient with the AFC as to not create anymore rich conditions than you need to. Yeah EVO8 and EVO9 injectors are the same. They flow more like 600cc in the EVO9, but that's not the injector; it's electronic. The guy above said the EVO9 o-rings won;t work in your head, but mine sat in there perfectly. They're a great cheap alternative to the standard RC or PTE 550cc injectors. OEM quality ftw!

you can find them all over evolutionm.net, and you can also find them on ebay. As for the o rings i was talking about the ones where the injector goes into the fuel rail not the head. The ones that come off the evo are to big to fit into the fuel rail. The ones on the head will fit perfectly.

What mods do you have installed now? Check out those links, injectors and safc aren't the first things you should get. Depending on how serious you want to get about making some power, consider getting DSMlink instead of using the safc. I would get the EIII 16g instead of the big 16g.

Yes, DSMlink is more expensive than the safc. You will buy an eprom ecu (found in 95' dsm's) and then purchase DSMlink too. But if you want to really get serious about tuning, definitely consider just going straight for DSMlink and forget about the safc.

Just check out the upgrade path and that will get you off to a great start and will keep your car safe and healthy. One change I would make to the upgrade path though is having a logger soon. This allows you to monitor the engine. DSMlink is a logger and a tuning device so you'll be set if you get that. If you stick with the safc you'll have to get a separate logger. You should not be turning up the boost without a logger to monitor knock. Other good things to have while tuning are a map sensor (GM and AEM are popular) and a wideband o2 sensor.

You can run them temporarily but you are going to be really rich. Just dont try to get on it to much and it shouldn't hurt anything.

Yes, you just need a fuel controller. Also at a bare minimum, rewire your fuel pump.

While I have not tried to install EVO 9's, my understanding is they are not too far different from the 8's. And I know first hand the 8's work. So I am "guessing" they work based upon my EVO 8 injector first hand knowledge. That is the best advice I can give.

They are odd since they have a negative deadtime compared to stock injectors... all other injectors have a positive deadtime to my knowledge (working with DSMLINK). They will work just fine, just get new o-rings and you'll be set.

They will work for a fact! I just put in some evo VIII's and the only thing you need to make sure of is that you use the orings for an eclipse not for the evo. The evo o-rings are to big and will not let it go up into the rail. Also you are going to be running pretty rich until you get the safc on there.Good luck
