Well, my car is acting up again. nothing major tho... I think???

I test drove my car yesterday after beeing parked for 1 week. I warmed up the car for like 5 to 10 min. then drove it regularly around the block with no problems for 10 or so mins. then went to a long straight away behind a school and punched it. when my 1st. geat hits 5.5k rpm or so, the car sputters like it has a revv limiter set at 5500 rpm. second gear goes up all the way to redline @7k without any problems.

anybody go tips on this problem or how to fix.

(mod list on my profile are current)

Thanks in advance.

I had a friends 240 doing this....strangely I closed down his spark plug gaps a tad and it went away. The strange part was it only did it in first and second, but higher load gears it didn't. Either way...it went away.

+1 for plugs and/or wires. I had the same problem with my car and a fresh set of BPR6ES plugs gapped to .028 and my car loved the boost again.

Good possibility that its ignition break up. Check/replace (or re-gap) your plug's. Make sure the wires are good.
