Hey, I am about to install my HKS Turbo timer into my 90 GSX, but ran into a small snag. I have two blue wires out of the turbo timer, one with one red stripe, and one with two red stripes. In the install manual, it says to install the blue wire to the accessory, and also it says to install the blue wire to the speed sensor on the ECU. Unfortunately it doesnt distinguish between the two blue wires. I think that it is a type-1 timer due to these extra wires, but wont know until I get it installed and see what options it has. Looked at the v-faq and searched around the forums, but no luck.

If anyone has one that they could look at and let me know which blue wire they have running to their 12v accessory line, or to their speed sensor, that would be great!!!

Here is a summay of how to install it in a 1G DSM (hoping to get some install pics for a faq)
Wiring to starter:
Red to 12v constant
Green to 12v ignition
Blue to 12v accessory

Wiring to ECU
Brown to RPM signal (pin 21) (found out that this is a 5v signal (thanks Steve))
Blue to Speed sensor (pin 18)

Other Wiring:
Black to ground
Gray to pakring brake

Thanks much man, It looks like that purple wire they are talking about might have been replaced with a blue one with two red stripes in it. I will post letting everyone know how it worked, and what I did to get it to work.

**edit, reading further into that post, looks like they weren't talking about a HKS timer, so I dont know if that purple wire comment is accurate... I have the install manual I downloaded online, the ECU pinout diagrams, and have searched a bunch on this, but still no luck seeing on the HKS timer whether to put the blue with one red stripe for the accessory, or the blue wire with two red stripes on the accessory, (the remaining wire going to speed sensor). If anyone has a HKS and knows where the blue wires go, please let me know. I have to run out and get some additional wire, so it will be a few hours here before I start this intsall. I will check this again, though in case someone has this info, or could point me to it. Thanks for any help.**

Well, got the install done and all works great!!!
Found out that for the HKS turbo timer type-1 Wiring, on a 90 GSX,

Here is what I did. I do have pictures of the install if anybody is interested or needs to see something.

Wiring to starter after dash ripped apart:
Red to 12v constant (black wire on car)
Green to 12v ignition (black wire with white stripe on car)
Blue with TWO red bands to 12v accessory (blue wire with red stripe on car)

Wiring to ECU
Brown to RPM signal (pin 21) - (black wire with red bands on ECU harness)
Blue witn ONE red band to Speed sensor (pin 18) (yellow wire with white stripe on ECU harness)

Other Wiring:
Black to ground (run ground to any metal part)
Gray to pakring brake (green with red stripe on car)

I ended up just splicing into the parking brake wire just below the brake itself. I didn't need to pull the ash tray or anything around that area. When the carpeting is back in place, you hardly see the wire at all.

Inside the ignition wire bundle, I saw 1 solid black wire, 1 solid blue wire, 1 blue w/ red stripe, one black with grey stripe, and one black w/ yellow stripe as reported in another post, but I also had a black wire with red stripe (not used for this install)

Anyhow, hope this helps someone trying to figure out where the two blue wires on the HKS tt goes.
