Hey all,

I'm getting ready to start my weekend project. I have a few quick questions.

1) Whats the easiest way to get the O2 housing off without removing the turbo?
I took it off last time when the turbo was out of the car.

2) What all is needed to hotwire the fuel pump?
The wire is already run to the battery/fuel pump, I just don't have any of the resistors or w/e else I need. I read the vfaq, but if someone could supply me with a list of things to go get at radioshack tonight before I start tomorrow.

3) How are you supposed to seal boost leaks?
I'm going to perform a BL test while I'm in there and was wondering what the best way to seal boost leaks are (depending on where they are) I know the soapy water trick to find them, and I've heard use hairspray on the connections where the tubes connect.

I also plan on eliminating the rear O2 sensor.

Well the vfaq tells you all you need
1 a 30 amp relay from radio shack
2 12 to 8 gauge wire which ever one you can find
3 a 30amp fuse to put on your battery terminal
and about the o2 housing i'm not sure you can take it off in the car but correct me if i'm whrong i've tryied multiple times and could not do it..

The o2 housing can be taken off with the turbo still in the car. What I do is take the driver side fan out for room. Next, I take off the top housing bolt with a 14mm socket, then the front nut with a 14mm wrench. The rear two are a little tricky but the right combination of 14mm short/deep well sockets and extensions are all you need. For the rear two, you could also use 1/4" drive tools to fit in the tight places. Use a 1/4" drive breaker bar though as you'll break your ratchet for sure. All done from the top of the car.

The fuel pump rewire is easy, just follow the directions.

The rear o2 is only in place to verify the catalytic converter is working. You may or may not get a CEL by removing it. Some may say that it has other mystical properties but Im not buying it. Believe what you want.

Thanks guys.

I tried to get the O2 housing off from the top but I kept hitting the alternator.

I'm eliminating the rear O2 sensor because I'm going to be running cat-less. I've have the instructions for how to create the resistor box, but I've also heard that you can wrap it in tinfoil and just hang it somewhere.
