Car Broke Down HELP ASAP

Well I Was Driving To School This Morning And I Came to a stop and the next thing i know i stall my car and i try to start my car back up and the starter sounds like its just grinding and my car wont starting the starter wont even engage the car and also my shifter feels like it has no gear in it at all like i can do like a complete circle with and theres no gears in th way at all
HELP ASAP IM AT SCHOOL AND NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT!

Is your car a 5 spd? you can "try" bumpstarting it...

car is a 5spd and also the car is like stuck in neutral and IT CN DO ALMOST a complete circle with my shifter

Check the shifter cables under the hood. Make sure the metal clips are still on the cables where they attach to the transmission.

the shifter cable on the tranny end are fine and are attached but maybe they broke on the shifter i will check it out but still what about the stiff clutch pedal can anyone explain?

Sounds like you blew your clutch up. when i blew mine up it did the same thing could do circles with the shifter and everything. sorry bud

s h i t damn ok well i fixed the circles thing with my shifter now im wondering why my cars starter isnt engaging and the clutch and flywheel are gone already when all this stuff was just replaced 2 days ago starter,clutch,flywheel, all new!

First of all, bumping your thread can get it locked. Second, don't get around the profanity filter by skipping letters. Do somthing like "S***"! So you are forewarned.

Onto to the problem.... The clutch and self detonate and the shifter cables could care less, they are completely not related parts. The only thing that connects them is the input shaft on the transmission. Something else is wrong there.

As for it COMPLETELY dying, it could a number of things. But if your starter is grinding that means it's engaging... a least partly.

Let me you ask you this. Are you holding the brake when you are starting it? If you are, try starting it without pushing the brake; just be prepared to stomp on them if the car lurches. If the car lurches, it's stuck in gear and that would be why the starter is grinding the way it is and also why it won't start when you are pressing the brakes AND why the shifter feels super loose.

This be the case? Then fixing that one problem will cure all your symptoms.

It probably would've helped to know that you just replaced these things in your original post. As a general rule, if your car was fine... then you fixed/replace/screwed with something... and then your car is broke. Odd's are whatever you fixed/replaced/screwed with, is what is broken.

What kind of thrust bearing did you use?

ok i cannot get the car to even start to turn over as soon as i turn the key and go to start the car the starter engages and wont catch the flywheel ok now also when the cars in gear and go to start the car same thing starter engages and makes the awful noise now heres the messed up part when car in 1st gear you can push it almost as easy if the car where in neutral
