which one is better for a header, i see some that are ceramic which are cheaper than stainless steel? ... which wont crack or is more reliable, longer lasting? im probably not gonna buy header wrap. thanks in advance.

????????

Stainless is more than likely going to be the standard "base" material as I can't imagine anyone making a header out of carbon steel anymore (unless it was coated).

The ceramic is going to refer to a coating that's applied to the header. Any type of coating will be advantageous as far as ensuring that the heat from the exhaust goes out the back as much as possible.

A totally ceramic header would never make it to the head before you broke it.

Just get a SS header if it's cheaper, don't go spend extra money. Also, with no wrap the underhood temps will be consistently higher and stuff will start to melt. On my old GS, my o2 sensor wire/plug melted real bad from all the excess heat. Wrapping the header should be a priority but most tend to stray away from doing that because of possibly cracking the headers. Just wrap it and use a good high temp sealer/coating also.
