i have had a 91 eclipse gsx for over a year now and took out a $7000.00 dollar lone from the bank to build this car but still have not bought everything. i was wondering if you all could lead me to getting what i need. im looking at getting as close to 500 whp as possible. what i have is as follows
big 16g turbo
GRP aluminum connecting rods
cleite 77 engine bearings
dsm throwout bearing
new pcv valve
255 lph fuel pump kit
extended slave rod
dsm stainless clutch line
2.3L crank
264/272 crower cams-venom cam gears
wiseco pistons-.40 over bore
3" maft senser and 3" down pipe
spec-v clutch and aluminum flywheel lightened
i have control arm bushings-tie-rod end bushings-motor mount bushings-and cross member bushings all by energy suspension

im wanting to go with a coil on plug upgrade and an intake upgrade and also i havent got anything for the head yet, what gauges are a nesecity, and injectors that will feed this hoss.

I'd look into some sort of management like DSMLink.
Injectors will depend on how much boost you plan on running, but I'd say at least 780s. Also get an adj. fuel pressure regulator.

I'd also upgrade the turbo to maybe a fp 3065. You didnt mention an exhaust manifold, but you'll want to upgrade that as well. If you step up to a bigger turbo, like the 3065, youll also want an external WG to control the boost.

Since youre doing the bottom end and throwing in cams, you might as well go as far as building the rest of the head with new valves (oversized perhaps), springs, retainers, guides, etc. and a nice port/polish job as well.

All depends how much $$ you still have as that will dictate how far you'll want to go.

Dont overlook suspension upgrades. Even a nice beefy rear sway bar will make your car handle a whole let better. Gauges - $$ permitting, get a wideband. Obviously get a boost gauge. Could also get yourself fuel and oil pressure gauges.

Oh, and get yourself a logger!

Might also want to invest in some beefier brakes with all that power...not dieing is a good thing:thumb:

why would you take a loan to build a car???

save your money and buy things cash, that way you won't have a blown up car in 6months and a loan for 7g's.

For one, you need to learn how to spell.

For 2, you dont sound like you know what you are talking about.

when i am at work and am doing this when i am not busy makes me type fast, so i dont need a spelling lesson from you and i wouldnt be posting on here if i was to know what i am talking about, but thaks for wasting space on here

the reason i took out a loan is to consolidate some other bills and took out a little more to help with credit if you really want to know, and advice about the upgrades would be much appreciated

You're going to have to read a lot more before you start building your stroker and expecting it to hit 500whp... it looks like you just went to slowboyracing.com and just kept on clicking "people who bought this item also bought this:" That turbo is way too small for your goals, the GRP rods are mega-overkill, you're also going to need different pistons for the 100mm crank for starters...

Stop spending money you don't have, when you don't even know what you should be buying.

I never understand why on forums guys ask questions about parts advice, and end up getting life and financial advice they didn't ask for. I hope everyone here owns their cars, houses, and doesn't have any credit cards.

I know a guy in the exact same boat. He has some cash to throw around, and throw it he does! He bought the slowboy stroker, Shep stage 3 rebuild, GT40, and then I'm building the intake manifold, turbo manifold, backdoor endtanks, his charge piping, dump, and dp.

While I'd advise to spend more cautiously, I've learned over the years that guys are gonna do what they want in the end. Spending money is fun when you have it, but that often leads to projects that never finish. Guys bite off more than they can chew, and find themselves broke with all the little stuff left over to buy.

O.P., definitely go DSM link, because spending all this and cutting out on the management is not a good idea. In terms of gauges, money becomes a factor, but basically boost, egt, and oil pressure is a good start. Optionals would be wideband (Uego style gauge). You basically want to know you have a problem, before you truly have a problem.

Keep reading and asking questions bro, and don't mind all the haters.

i have had some advice about the stuff i have bought so far from dsm guys that live in my area. the reason i bought the 16g was because my other turbo wasnt ne good and this one was about the same price as a new 14b so i just got it but then found out that the turbo wasnt all my problem. they still dont know what the problem was but after tearing out my motor we found that my balance shaft belt was broke and my crank and bearings were to close together. but thaks for those of you that are actually answering my questions. its helping me alot!!!! and i understand that i probably wont be able to hit 500 hp right off the bat but im learing alot about motors.
